Website Launch
Hello my Kinsfolk! Here’s my website! It’s pretty minimalist, but that’s the way I like it (also I do only have one released miniature so far, to be fair).
I’m super excited to move past the long setup phase and focus on routine of sculpting cool stuff and releasing things regularly. I have spent many months building a set for photos and videos, finishing my first sculpt as well as making progress on others - not to mention all the time invested in research and setting up my platforms.
So if you have jumped here without looking at the rest of the website first - then welcome, my name is Harry and I’m a sculptor of whimsical fantasy miniatures for games or for your general enjoyment. My design approach is minimalist and characterful - I want to make models that are fun to paint and have an old-school, hand-made feel.
My miniatures are made digitally, though I would like to work on some traditional sculpts in the future. You can buy my miniatures in a number of ways. I have a Patreon which I’m launching with a single temporary tier ‘Kinsfolk’. Anyone that signs up will receive my miniature release every month at a big discount and if you stay subscribed then you will always have the benefit of this large saving. I will then remove the tier for new sign-ups and create different options going forward. I know the standard is to have MyMiniFactory sync with Patreon and so I will try to figure this out (forgive me as I try to learn the platform), either way there will be a google drive link available.
Alternatively you will be able to buy STL files from MMF, gumroad or direct from Patreon (again if I can figure that out - it’s a new-ish feature), if you don’t want to sign up - which I totally understand, we have so many subscriptions these days and it all adds up.
If you would like a physical resin 3D print then I will have some for sale. I will limit stock as I am printing them myself and on top of the other jobs it’s time consuming. One day I would love to have my miniatures cast in resin, but I don’t have the facilities or connections for that at this time. Unfortunately I can only sell these to people in Great Britain (so I’m not including Northern Ireland sorry) for various reasons, in short - the systems in place do not make exporting goods to Europe easy for a one-man operation at all. This is much more than about the VAT, increasingly difficult packing requirements are getting introduced on an individual country basis. It’s not out of my scope in the long run, but it is right now. I think introducing a merchant tier would be a good alternative in the future.
For those interested in my process, I will write a blog post or video on that subject at some point. Feel free to reach out to me on whatever platform you prefer if you have questions or just want to chat. In fact I plan on creating a discord and would love to foster a positive and helpful community on there soon.
If you have read all of this, then thank you! Please check out my stuff and follow my different social networks for updates. If you do buy a miniature, then please tag me on instagram if you paint it!
Be kind, be Kinsfolk.
Harry
